Violinist Jonathan Yi was the winner of the prize for best performance of a newly-commissioned work, two sections of the solo violin suite, Dance Apotheosis, in the Young Artists Competition at the Mondavi Center for the Arts.
Sean Hickey will host a panel at the 2017 Classical Next conference on Friday, May 19th at De Doelen in the heart of Rotterdam. Also on the panel will be Vanessa Reed, CEO of PRS for Music Foundation UK, and Judd Greenstein, composer and co-founder of New Amsterdam Records.

California's Mondavi Center for the Arts has commissioned Sean Hickey to compose the competition piece for the 2017 Mondavi Center Young Artists National Competition. The work, titled Dance Apotheosis, will be premiered and performed May 6, 7 and 8, 2017, at the Mondavi Center for the Arts in Davis, California. Info here.
